Qualification Criteria for BSF Constable Tradesman Exam 2023
- To be eligible for the BSF Constable Tradesman recruitment 2023, candidates must fulfill the educational qualification criteria specified by the authority. The educational qualification requirements vary depending on the trade for which the candidate is applying.
- For trades of Constable (Cobbler), Constable (Tailor), Constable (Washerman), Constable (Barber), and Constable (Sweeper), candidates must have passed Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board. Additionally, candidates must be proficient in the respective trade and qualify for the trade test conducted by the recruitment board.
- For the trades of Constable (Cook), Constable (Water Carrier), and Constable (Waiter), candidates must have passed Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board. In addition, candidates must have completed a National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) level-I Course in food production or kitchen from National Skill Development Corporation or Institutes recognized by National Skill Development Corporation.
- Candidates must fulfill the educational qualification requirements before applying for the BSF Constable Tradesman recruitment 2023. Candidates who do not meet the specified educational qualification criteria will not be considered for the recruitment process

Selection Process for BSF Constable Tradesman Exam 2023
- The BSF Constable Tradesman Recruitment 2023 selection process involves multiple stages that assess the candidates’ physical and mental capabilities. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will have to undergo the following selection process stages:
- The first stage of the selection process is the written examination, which will test the candidate’s knowledge of general awareness, reasoning, and numerical ability. Candidates who qualify for the written examination will move on to the next stage, the Physical Standard Test (PST). The PST includes measuring the candidate’s height, chest, and weight and checking their eyesight, hearing, and tattoos.
- Candidates who pass the PST will proceed to the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), which involves running, long jump, and high jump. The next stage is the Documentation stage, where candidates’ documents will be verified, and the candidates’ biometric details will be recorded.
- After the Documentation stage, candidates must appear for the Trade Test, where their respective trade skills will be tested. Candidates who pass the Trade Test will move on to the final stage, the Detailed Medical Examination (DME). The DME assesses the candidate’s overall health, including vision, hearing, dental, and other medical conditions.
